I have been practising yoga for almost 25 years & graduated as a Yoga Teacher from the Bushey School of Yoga (200 hours) with the wonderful Ellen Lee. I discovered early on how deeply supportive & enriching yoga could be & continues to be in my everyday life, physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually. I share a gentle, holistic & restorative Hatha yoga practice, with physical postures alongside Meditation & Relaxation. I create a calm & happy space in which students are encouraged to unwind, stretch out & nourish themselves. To acknowledge & reconnect with who they are, honestly & lovingly. Students learn to gradually develop flexibility & confidence, strength & ease of movement; steadiness & stillness within mind, body & soul. I describe yoga as a process of self-enquiry, a choice to explore thoughts & feelings, greater awareness of Breath & contemplation of ancient philosophy. My classes are an opportunity to consciously slow down & come in to the present moment. Potential for lightness, gratitude, joy & peace within. This is why I regularly attend yoga class & courses since 1996, proud to call myself a student too which emphasises the importance & pleasure of life-long learning.

Pre COVID I taught weekly indoor private & group yoga classes in Shenley & surounding areas in Hertfordshire & invited to teach on residential weekends & workshops. Now I teach via Skype or Zoom or in person depending on government guidelines, offer online group classes for the Yoga for Health Foundation (YHET) & more recently Well being sessions for office & school staff. I am a member of the Independent Yoga Network (IYN) & Continued Professional Development includes training on Yoga for Mental Health, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, Looking after your Heart, The Pranas & Inner Sense Yoga.

My Family, Friendship, Music, Dancing, Lipstick, Reading, Walking in Nature (come rain or shine!) & Gardening are hugely special to me too! Namaste :)

I am also an Artist & just like my yoga practice, my artwork is deeply passionate & heartfelt & inspired by myself as a Woman, Wife, Mother, by Life & Love. Compositions explore ideas & feelings with honesty, understanding, compassion & respect. My abstract & organic style celebrates the beauty, flow & expressive qualities of lines, shapes & colours, all of which I experience & embody within yoga postures aswell. Skype Art sessions by arrangement, opportunities to explore self-expression & creativity & to develop confidence with different art materials & styles, £40 per hour.

Santosha means Contentment which I hope you feel when you experience my yoga teaching.or view my artwork.
